Should we consider opening it up so that anyone can follow it when there are nearby fires?
FB might be the best place to immediately share info on what's happening. Why? Because in FB anyone can post info vs this Blog that requires the admin to do all the posting (everyone else can only comment).

An update on Firewise matters:
a. Irene Jerome is submitting the final application to the Oregon Dept. of Forestry soon to formalize the Middle Fork Firewise group.
b. ODF wants to schedule time to do home/property fire assessments. Obviously, it'd be best if they can do several properties at once. Once we have an idea of who wants an assessment and under what circumstance, we'll coordinate a date far enough in advance for folks to schedule. So, please let me know:
-- Do you want your property assessed?
-- Do you want to be present for the assessment?
-- If you can't or don't want to be present, do you want someone from the Firewise group to accompany ODF to your place and report to you on recommendations?
c. ODF is linking up with the Malheur National Forest folks to evaluate draw/dip needs out on the Middle Fork, particularly involving air resources.
d. Attached is Firewise tip sheet to give you something to do in your spare time at your Middle Fork place.
e. Beth Upshaw provided her good start on a master list and Sally is taking the baton and running like mad with it! Stay tuned for how you can help flesh it out.
